My So-Called Life
- Born on July 3, 1971 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
- Spent the next 18 years of my life growing up there, with a few interesting side trips here and there...
- Went to Trinity Valley Preparatory School for 13 years (K - 12) for my introductory education.
- My father is from Germany, so I got to visit my German relatives a few times, including a six week exchange that we arranged with one family that I met!! Wow, that was fun. Can't wait to get a chance to go back and visit again!! Tickets, anyone??
- One summer, my family got free tickets to Kauaii, Hawaii!! If you ever get to go, don't miss hiking along the Napali Coastline (long hike, worth every mile...)
- I also went on a two week EuroRail excursion after my senior year of high school. I got to tour through Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco, and France during the trip, carrying everything I owned on my back. That was a grand adventure as well!!
- Since then, I've ventured off to glorious Houston, Texas, the home of Rice University!!
- Here I spent the first 4 years earning my batchelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- After that, I decided that I liked it here so much, that I'd stay to get my Master's in the same
subject . . .
- Which brings us to the present . . .
- I just finished my second year of graduate school, and am currently working on my
thesis project to finish up my degree.
- Therefore, I've also started my job search. So, anyone out there interested in a MechE (as we
are known at Rice) with an affinity for computers and the World Wide Web?? If so, check out my
resume.
